Cake Bites in mexikanischen „Piñata“ Farben

Hallo zusammen, einen HAPPY FRIDAY wünsche ich!!
Endlich Wochenende :-)

Die nächsten 3-4 Artikel werden sehr farbenfroh, spaßig und voller Zucker, das kann ich euch sagen :-)
Die Woche war sehr sehr busy und anstrengend, aber es hat sich sowas von gelohnt!

Gestern war der Geburtstag meines Freundes. Er ist Mexikaner, und da er sein Land so sehr liebt und es auch sehr vermisst, habe ich mich entschieden ihm ein wenig Mexiko nach Hause zu holen!
Unsere guten Freunde Kris und Jeff haben mir mit den Vorbereitungen super geholfen, denn wir haben uns für das Geburtstagskind etwas ganz tolles einfallen lassen: Eine Piñata!
Das ist große Tradition in Mexiko und mein Freund hat es sicherlich schon gute 15 Jahre nicht mehr gemacht, also dachten wir es sei perfekt, seine Kindheit ein wenig aufleben zu lassen.
Die Piñata, die wir besorgt haben, steckt voller Farben, schön kräftig und hell. Da wusste ich sofort, dass die süßen Sachen, die ich für den Geburtstag vorbereiten würde, genau in diesen Farben der Piñata sein werden.

Diese Woche habe ich Folgendes in meiner niner kitchen gebacken:
– Cake Bites
– Cake Pops
– und natürlich Cupcakes (keine Party ohne, bitte!)

…Alles in dem Farbschema der Piñata. Glaubt mir, es war ein voller Erfolg!
Nicht nur der Geschmack der Cake Bites etc., sondern einfach nur der Anblick war super und die gute Laune kam ganz von selbst. Nicht nur Kindern geht es so, das ist Fakt :-)

Das hier ist übrigens die Piñata in Aktion:

Heute fange ich mit dem Rezept für die Cake Bites an.

  • Vorbereitungszeit 20 Minuten
  • Backzeit 10 Minuten ins Gefrierfach
  • Schwierigkeit Leicht

Für die Cake Bites:

  • 1 Paket OREO cookies (in den USA vielleicht, die Pakete hier bei uns in DE sind relativ klein, ich nahm 4, denke aber 5 wären am besten, für die Konsistenz
  • 225g Frischkäse Philadelphia Doppelrahmstufe
  • Candy Melts (verschiedene Farben)
  • bunte Streusel, geraspelte Schoki, was auch immer euch einfällt zum dekorieren
  • Lollipop Stiele
  • Zusätzliche Dinge, die ihr eventuell braucht/wollt:

  • Lollipop Plastiktüten, super zum Verschenken
  • Geschenkband zum Verschnüren

  • 1. Zerkleinere die Oreo Cookies in feine Krümel in einer Küchenmaschine
  • 2. Nun den Krümelmix in einer Schale mit dem Frischkäse vermengen (ich schlage euch vor Einweghandschuhe zu benutzen).
  • 3. Der Teig sollte die Konsistenz von Play Dough Knete haben. Also auf keinen Fall zu weich, sonst wird es schwer die Cake Bites zu formen.
  • 4. Den Teig jeweils in 2,5cm große Bällchen formen. Diese nun für mindestens 10 Minuten (oder länger, was ich tat) im Kühlschrank (oder kürzer im Gefrierfach) ruhen lassen.
  • 5. In der Zwischenzeit kannst du nun die Schokolade schmelzen.
  • 6. Nun den Cake Bite in die Schoki tunken (ich nahm einen Löffel und eine Kuchengabel als Unterstützung).
  • 7. Jetzt geht’s sofort ans Dekorieren, Merckens Candy Melts trocknen sehr schnell :-)
  • 8. Streusel, Sanding Sugar, M&M’s und andere Dinge als Deko darüber geben. Wichtig ist, nicht zu lang damit zu warten.
  • 9. Wenn du damit fertig bist, einfach den Cake Bite auf einen Teller mit Frischhaltefolie legen, so kann er wunderbar trocknen und ist auch wieder leicht zu entfernen.
  • 10. Und nun: Habt Spaß beim Dekorieren und viel Freude mit euren fertigen Cake Bites!! :-)
