Hello Wien! Ach nein, Halloween Cake Pops und Cake Bites!

Es ist Montag, es ist kalt und es fühlt sich generell schon längst wie Herbst an. Der Sommer hat sich (für mich) nun offiziell von uns verabschiedet.
Aber um ehrlich zu sein, ich liebe es wenn es nicht allzu warm ist, denn: Ich bin ein Kapuzenpulli Fan und Addict kann man sagen.
Ich konnte einfach nicht bis September oder Oktober warten. Ich hab mich schon früher als sonst, dank dem Wetter, dem Thema Halloween gewidmet und Cake Pops und Cake Bites im Halloween Stil gemacht.

Gehen wir dennoch ein paar Wochen zurück:
Ich habe Halloween Cake Pops vorher auch schonmal ausprobiert. Habe mir Lebensmittelstifte besorgt und ahnte nicht, dass diese einfach nur für die Tonne waren :-)
Ich war natürlich verzeifelt. Hatte viele süße, orange-farbene Cake Pops fertig, wollte loslegen mit den typischen Halloween Gesichtern und leider Gottes hat es nicht funktioniert. Da freut man sich auf eine kreative Session und nichts klappt und man selbst ist nicht mal Schuld.

Habe ein wenig recherchiert und gelesen, dass viele Leute Americolor benutzen und auch zufrieden sind. Wobei die Wilton Stifte von vielen Leuten bemängelt werden.
Also erstmal in England die Americolor Lebensmittelstifte bestellt und neue Cake Pops gemacht, die anderen waren bereits verputzt, das geht bei uns hier immer sehr schnell :-)

Und was soll ich sagen, dieses Mal hatte ich Glück, die Stife malen super auf den Cake Pops, dennoch habe ich noch ein paar Tipps für euch (Troubleshooting):

  • Americolor Lebensmittelstifte funktionieren am aller besten, wenn die Candy Melts (Kuvertüre) komplett trocken sind.
  • Falls ihr eure Cake Pops über Nacht im Kühlschrank lagert und dann sofort losmalen wollt: Es ist sicherer ein wenig abzuwarten, Cake Pops schwitzen oft, wenn man sie aus dem Kühlschrank holt. So hält die Stiftfarbe nicht sonderlich gut und verschmiert.
  • Falls ihr Pflanzenöl benutzt habt, um die Kuvertüre dünnflüssiger zu machen, kann es sein, dass es etwas schwieriger wird später darauf zu malen, da der Cake Pop ein wenig ölig sein kann.
  • Am allerbesten sind da die sogenannten Paramount Crystals. Damit wird die Kuvertüre flüssiger und hinterläßt keinen Ölfilm. Das Malen auf Cake Pops ist somit gar kein Problem mehr.
  • Ich kann euch nur wärmstens die Americolor Edible Ink Pens empfehlen. Deutsche gute Produkte habe ich bisher vergebens gesucht.

Genug mit den „Problemchen“ hier, lest weiter um die Cake Pops selbst auszuprobieren.

  • Vorbereitungszeit 20 Minuten
  • Backzeit 10-20 min (Kühlschrank)
  • Schwierigkeit Leicht

Für die Cake Pops:

  • Falls du bisher noch keine Cake Pops gemacht hast, klick hier.
  • 1. Bei mir gab es Oreo Cake Pops Variante, ich hab die Kekskrümel mit dem Frischkäse vermengt und dann runde Cake Pops geformt.
  • 2. Schmelze die orangen Candy Melts in einer Schale (in der Mikrowelle, 30 Sekunden Intervalle), folge den Anweisungen auf der Packung. Falls die Candy Melts nicht flüssig genug sind; einfach ein wenig Pflanzenöl hinzugeben, nach und nach ein bischen mehr, bis ihr die perfekte Konisstenz erreicht habt.
  • 3. Nehme nun einen Lollipop Stick und tunke diesen einen cm in die geschmolzene Schokolade, stecke ihn oben in den Cake Pop (bis zur Hälfte) und dann nochmal mind. 15 Minuten in den Kühlschrank stellen (auf einem Brett z.B.). So wird die Schokolade im Inneren des Cake Pop schön fest und die Cake Pops gehen beim Eintunken in die Schokolade nicht zu Bruch oder fallen ab (besonders im Sommer sehr ratsam).
    Dann die Cake Pops in die orangen Candy Melts tunken, lass den Cake Pop über Kopf ein wenig Zeit die restliche Schokolade ablaufen zu lassen, immer ein wenig drehen dabei und ganz leicht aufs Handgelenk tippen bis keine Schokolade mehr abläuft; und ab in die Styroporscheibe damit zum Trocknen.
    Tipp: Falls die Schokolade generell nicht runterläuft, braucht ihr dieses auch nicht forcieren; ihr könnt den Cake Pop dann schon in die Styroporscheibe stecken :).
  • 4. „Mal-Zeit“ :) Nun könnt ihr mit eurem Lebensmittelstift loslegen und tolle Gesichter auf eure getrockneten Cake Pops malen.
  • 5. Und fertig! Ihr könnt ebenfalls noch kleine Pralinen machen, ohne Stiel. Dies macht sich ebenfalls toll auf dem Dessert Tisch für Halloween.

Irgendwie kriege ich diese richtig spukigen Gesichter nicht hin – ich kann mir ja nicht einmal Horrorfilme ansehen :D
